One of the best things about waist beads is how low maintenance they are. From the tie-on waist beads to the screw clasp, most do not need any special kind of care or treatment, but with that said, they still need some maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can do any, and everything with your waist beads, and they will still last as long as you take care of them well. You can sleep, bath, eat, dance or (my personal favorite) have sex with it and there will be virtually no issue with it. They will not tear unless you put them under a lot of stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ones that are made with a thread are permanent. These ones last long, giving you good value for money. As stated earlier, they will only tear when you cut them with scissors, gain weight or put excessive pressure on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these in mind, I have outlined a few things that you need to do when it comes to taking care of your waist beads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are not wearing them immediately after purchase, please store them properly. Keep your waist beads in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid storing them in humid or damp areas as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Handle with care<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Treat your waist beads gently. Avoid tugging or pulling on them, especially during sex. I know sometimes, we get over our heads, especially when we are enjoying ourselves so much we forget but biko, try and remember.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TIE-ON Waist Beads<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

95% of the beads we have in our shop are the tie-on type. This was not originally the case with us. We had to make this switch because we kept getting complaints from clients of their waist beads tearing at the least effort. Ever since this switch, these complaints have dropped significantly. Below are some of the reasons why the complaints have stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 You can wear it for years till you tear it or it tears off you, from weight gain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 It is easy to fit your size. No need to measure your waist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to care for them<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Tie-on may start smelling after some period. This is because the thread is made of cotton and due to constant exposure to water (due to bathing), if not dried properly before wearing clothes, can cause the thread to smell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to prevent this, you need to make a conscious effort to air dry or sun dry it once a week. Also, make it a point to walk around naked for about 5-10 minutes after bathing so it can dry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If not dried properly, can also wet part of your clothing, mainly the area around your waist where it is located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waist Beads with Screw Clasp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This type of waist bead has a screw at the end that fits into a clasp. This type of waist bead is prone to tearing, especially when the measurement is not properly taken. We currently do not stock these types of waist beads in our store. We had many complaints from clients about how easily it tears so we decided to stop selling them entirely. Below are some of the main reasons why we stopped stocking them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 Not permanent. Uses nylon\/plastic thread that usually breaks after a short while, especially if you are sexually active. Unless you are extremely gentle during sex, any meaningful kind of force is enough to tear it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Not as easy to resize as the tie-on waist beads. Once set, you cannot resize it. If you want to resize, then the whole thing would have to be taken apart and redone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to care for them<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You have to be extremely gentle with these waist beads. As I stated earlier, any meaningful kind of force is enough to tear them apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike the tie-on waist beads, this one does not soak up water hence it does not wet your clothes and it definitely doesn\u2019t smell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
